Description

Original Third Reich Early SA Dagger By Eugen Scheidt With Early Hanger- This SA (Sturmabteilung) dagger, originating from the early days of the Third Reich, bears the distinct mark of Eugen Scheidt, a relatively rare and sought-after maker. Notably, the blade showcases signs of age, with the acid-etched motto "Alles für Deutschland" (Everything for Germany) and the Eugen Scheidt Solingen-Ohligs maker's mark impressively executed. The blade, while displaying some age-related gray patina and minor runner marks, remains in excellent condition, retaining its historical integrity.
The handle boasts a finely preserved medium brown grip, accentuated by subtle toning and exhibiting minor surface wear, which attests to its authenticity and age. The solid nickel eagle emblem on the grip retains exquisite detailing and is impeccably fitted, reflecting the craftsmanship of the era. Likewise, the SA roundel on the handle exhibits a perfect fit, adding to the dagger's historical appeal.
The lower cross guard bears the Gau stamp "P" for Pommern, providing a direct connection to its historical context and provenance.
The scabbard, finished in brown anodized style, exhibits minor rust spots on both the front and back surfaces, a testament to its age and use. Impressively, the screws securing the scabbard have remained untouched, preserving the originality of the piece.
Accompanying this SA dagger is an original early SA dagger hanger, which, while displaying signs of age, remains in excellent condition, contributing to the completeness of the ensemble.
In conclusion, this early SA dagger by Eugen Scheidt is a remarkable and rare find, offering a glimpse into the history of the Third Reich. Its excellent condition, paired with the presence of the original hanger, makes it a valuable addition to any collector's arsenal.
