Original German WWII Single Sided National Banner/Flag 111cm x 50.8cm
This is an original German WWII banner constructed of red cloth with a white central roundel. The banner features the classic National Socialist party design with a screen-printed black swastika within the white roundel. The banner is single-sided, with the roundel correctly visible from one side and the reverse side shows the stitching around the roundel. One end retains a hanging strap, tunnel sleeve and black painted pole for mounting or display purposes. The pole measures 24" long.
The banner measures approximately 111cm x 50.8cm (40" x 20"), making it a small-sized example suitable for building display, parade use, or political event decoration.
The red field shows little to no fading; there is some storage creasing and light wear. The white roundel remains intact and retains good contrast against the red background. The banner still displays very well overall; however, please note there are a couple of small stains and discoloration in various areas. There appears at one time insignia and medals were pinned on at one time. A US Veteran bringback.
Original German WWII banners of this type were commonly used by the NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) for political gatherings, rallies, parades, and building decoration but was the national flag during this time period. A classic and highly recognizable example of a Third Reich banner, ideal for collectors of period political relics or wartime display items.
