Original Third Reich Polizei Gendarmerie M40 Feldbluse- A field blouse constructed of Police-green wool material. Open collar and it has a vertical row of four silver pebbled buttons meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes. The front of the tunic has two pleated patch breast pockets and two pleated patch hip pockets, all with scalloped button-down flaps. The sleeves are lined with a pin-stripe rayon material. The collar has tabs composed of orange-colored wool base, bordered by twisted silver aluminum bullion wire, bearing machine woven silver aluminum bullion wire columns, which measure 32 mm (w) x 70 mm (h). The shoulder boards are constructed of two rows of green embroidered cord flanked by two rows of fine aluminum wire interlaced with brown threading, all wrapped in a U-shape chevron formation, finished with reinforced button holes over pebbled buttons on an orange-colored wool backer. The shoulder boards measure 35 mm (w) x 106 mm (h) and indicating the rank of Wachtmeister of the Gendarmerie. The upper left arm bears an insignia in the form of an orange Police-style eagle clutching a wreathed mobile black swastika. A very small moth hole in the back. Hardly even worn and in excellent condition.
