Original Third Reich SA Dagger RZM M7/2 By Emil Voos-

This is a solid example of a later-production SA dagger, manufactured by Emil Voos of Solingen, as indicated by the RZM code M7/2 on the blade. Voos is a desirable maker among collectors, and this dagger retains much of its original character.

Blade: The blade is clearly marked with the RZM logo and M7/2 code, along with the etched motto “Alles für Deutschland.” The etchings remain deep and well-defined. The blade retains some of its original crossgrain finish but does exhibit areas of light gray spotting and minor surface rust throughout. The point of the blade looks to have been hit at one time, so doe not have the point at the very end. Typical runner marks are present from contact with the scabbard, but the blade remains in good overall condition.

Fittings & Grip: The crossguards are plated and show some corrosion, consistent with age and use. The pommel tang nut remains undisturbed, with no signs of turning, and the grip is still tightly fitted to the tang.

The wooden grip has a rich red mahogany tone and features a medium center ridge with a near-perfect fit to the crossguards. The SA roundel is well-set and retains most of its dark brown enamel with only minor wear. The aluminum grip eagle is in excellent condition, showing sharp detail to the beak, breast, wings, talons, wreath, and swastika, with only light handling wear.

Scabbard: The scabbard retains its original SA brown painted finish and shows typical signs of use, including scattered surface scratches and light spidering in the lacquer. The screws are all intact and show no signs of having been removed. The upper scabbard fittings have areas of minor rust, but the structure remains sound and fully intact.

Summary: Overall, this is a desirable SA dagger by the noted Solingen maker Emil Voos. While it shows some honest wear and aging, it remains a strong example with well-preserved details. A worthy addition to any collection of Third Reich edged weapons.
