Original US WWII M1 Swivel Bail Helmet With Seaman Paper Co. Liner & Helmet Net
This is an original slightly used US WWII M1 swivel bail steel shell paired with a WWII Seaman Paper Co. liner. Also included is an original helmet net.
The shell features a front seam rim (photo 15) and swivel chinstrap bales. The shell retains its original olive drab corked finish, showing honest service wear and light surface scuffs consistent with age and handling. The web chinstrap is present and intact, with correct period hardware.
The liner is faintly marked with the Seaman Paper Co. "S" logo. The suspension system remains fully intact and functional, showing very little wear. The leather sweatband is well preserved and remains in excellent to near mint condition. Retains the original nape/neck strap in excellent condition. The leather chinstrap is supple and complete. The exterior of the liner exhibits a few minor dings and marks from age and storage but remains solid and displays very well.
The included original helmet net shows appropriate age, wear, but still in excellent condition and complements the helmet nicely.
Overall this set is in excellent condition.
