Original US WWII Army 2nd Model Shelter Half, Wooden Pegs, Folding Tent Pole, Rope And Wool Blanket Set
The shelter half is a desirable 2nd Model example, showing only light use and remaining in excellent condition overall. The OD green canvas retains strong color, and the piece is complete with its buttons and approximately five original tie ropes intact. The shelter half is clearly marked U.S., maker marked and dated 1945.
Included in the set are five original wooden tent pegs, all in excellent condition with no significant damage, as well as a correct folding wooden tent pole. The pole shows some honest use but remains in excellent, fully usable condition. One additional cotton rope is also included.
Also included is an original U.S. WWII wool blanket, which is used but remains in very good condition. The blanket retains its original tag, marked to American Woolen Co., Inc., and dated 1943, adding a nice period-correct component to the set. Comes with an original web utility strap.
