Original U.S. WWII Canteen Dated 1942 & Cup Dated 1941 With Cover
This is an original U.S. WWII aluminum canteen set consisting of the canteen, cup, and canvas cover, all authentic wartime production and nicely matched in appearance.
The aluminum canteen is clearly marked “U.S. M.A.Co. 1942” on the reverse. It retains its original black bakelite cap with cork gasket still present inside. The attached cap chain is broken, as shown in the photos. The body of the canteen shows honest service wear, surface scratches, and minor handling marks consistent with age and field use, but no major dents or structural issues.
The aluminum cup is marked “U.S. A.G.M.Co. 1941.” It remains in solid condition with typical age-related wear, light scratching, and minor discoloration from use and storage. The folding handle functions properly and is firmly attached.
The khaki canvas cover is wartime production with extremely faint markings that are no longer clearly legible. The cover shows staining and discoloration throughout from age and service use. The canvas retaining strap that secures the belt hook is damaged, though the metal belt hook itself remains present and intact. The lift-the-dot style closures are secure.
All components show honest age and use as expected from a genuine WWII field set, but overall the group remains in very good condition and displays well. A solid early-war dated 1941–1942 canteen set, ideal for a WWII U.S. field gear display or collection.
