Description
Original US WWII M1 Naval Fixed Bail Helmet With Firestone Liner-
HELMET SHELL
The helmet was repainted a very light blue color for the Navy. Some of the original green paint is visible.
The stenciled markings are of 2 criss-crossed cannons with gun position numbers. Someone's name or initials are stenciled on the side.
The web chinstrap is intact and still in solid condition. Shows some age. Hardware is brass.
LINER
Firestone Marked Helmet Liner. Excellent condition aside from some very minor marks/rubs. All is still intact.
Leather chinstrap is missing, but the metal hardware still remains on the garter studs.
Neckband is attached and is a size Large.
Sweatband is an Early Double Wire Buckle made by J&J. Leather is slightly dry but still in excellent condition.
The fixed webbing is in excellent condition.
