Original US WWII M-1944 Goggles With Original Box
A very nice and complete example of the U.S. WWII M-1944 protective goggles, retaining their original issue box and instruction sheet. The goggles are the late-war pattern featuring a black rubberized frame with ventilated sides and an olive drab elastic headband. The clear plastic lens is still present and remains in good condition, showing only light surface wear from age and storage.
The rubber frame is supple with no cracking, and the overall shape remains excellent. The elastic strap is intact and retains good stretch, with the original metal buckle in place. These were designed to protect against dust, wind, and glare, and were commonly issued to vehicle crews and troops operating in harsh environments.
Included is the original olive drab cardboard box, clearly marked “GOGGLES, M-1944” with stock number 74-G-77. The box shows honest storage and handling wear, with edge wear and scuffing, but remains solid and fully intact. Also included is the original printed instruction sheet for lens care and replacement.
A desirable and complete late-war U.S. field gear set that displays very well and would be difficult to upgrade.
