Original U.S. WWII Three-Pocket Grenade Pouch with Medical Contents
This is an original U.S. Army WWII three-pocket grenade carrying bag that has been repurposed as a field medic’s kit, a practice occasionally seen among frontline troops. The pouch is constructed of OD#3 khaki canvas with reinforced edges in OD#7 webbing, and is marked “U.S.” in black ink on the upper flap. All blackened lift-the-dot fasteners function properly, and the adjustable web thigh straps remains intact and strong.
Each pocket contains a variety of original wartime medical supplies, making this an interesting example of field adaptation.
The pouch retains its original wartime finish with little to no fading, showing only light surface wear from age and storage. Overall, it remains in solid, excellent condition. A great piece for display or reenacting.
