Description

Original German WWII M38 Fallschirmjäger Single Decal Helmet Shell Size ET68- This is an original German WWII M38 Fallschirmjäger single decal helmet shell, size ET68, manufactured by Eisenhüttenwerke Thale, lot number 138. It retains a substantial portion of its original factory-applied dark field-gray textured paint on the exterior, with minor rust spots and surface scratches. Approximately 90% of the 2nd model Luftwaffe eagle decal remains intact, displaying some chipping and scratching. The helmet features four spanner bolts, which are also coated in the same dark field-gray textured paint.
The leather liner, foam padding, and metal liner band are all present and complete. The leather liner is supple and well-marked, though some of the markings have faded. The chinstrap is the Type II variant, fully intact, with the leather showing slight stiffness but still supple. Overall, this helmet remains in excellent condition, making it a rare and highly desirable Fallschirmjäger helmet for collectors of WWII memorabilia.
