Revised description:

Crafted from bronze, this commemorative medal is suspended from its original period parade-mounted ribbon, featuring a horizontal pin back and a field-grey wool reverse liner for added authenticity, but has some small moth holes. The obverse showcases two distinct raised figures: one proudly holding a flag, while the other breaks free from chains, symbolizing liberation. Above them, a German national eagle grasps a wreathed mobile swastika, representing the unity of the nation. On the reverse side, the central date "1. OKTOBER 1938" is encircled by the poignant inscription "EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER" ("ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER"), encapsulating the fervor of the era. Notably unmarked, this medal is preserved in very good to excellent condition.
