Original German WWII Kriegsmarine M42 Battleship Gray Painted Helmet Size NS66- An original M42 helmet that has been hand brushed painted with battleship gray paint for the Kriegsmarine. Most likely done on a ship or port? Some rust spots on the outside, but it does not take away from the helmet. The dark fieldgray factory paint is still on the inside of the helmet with a dome stamp. The leather liner is complete and in very good condition. The markings are on the rim and is a "NS66" helmet. Does come with a pigskin chinstrap and is NOT original to the helmet. We put it on to complete it. Very good condition.
