Original Imperial German WWI M17 Helmet With Liner Si66 - This authentic piece of history bears the marks of its service, with the paint showing expected signs of wear and age, retaining approximately 50% or more of its original factory coating on the exterior and a remarkable 85% on the interior. Notably, the vent lugs contain remnants of dirt or paper, a telltale sign of the ingenious wartime practice of blocking gas ingress during gas attacks. Such evidence strongly suggests this helmet saw action on the battlefield.

While the liner is absent, the original metal liner band remains intact, offering a glimpse into its original configuration.
