Original Third Reich German Eagle Order Medal- The German Eagle Order Medal, established in May 1937, served as a prestigious diplomatic award for foreign nationals. Crafted from a durable brass alloy, this round medal features a striking Maltese cross adorned with four German eagle and swastika emblems on the obverse. Over time, the metal has developed a captivating and rich patina. The reverse side bears the inscription "Deutsche Verdienst Medaille" (German Merit Medal) in bold Latin capitals, maintaining an authentic, uncleaned patina consistent with the medal's age.
The intact original suspension ring, marked with the maker code "30" denoting manufacture by Hauptmünzamt Wien (the Vienna mint), adds to the medal's authenticity.
