Original German Pre-WWII "Reichsnährstands-Ausstellung München 1937" (Reich Harvest Festival) by Deschler & Sohn
A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.This silver finished aluminum badge is in very good condition. The pinback is intact. It has a nice patina and shows typical age-wear and finish loss. It is maker marked on the reverse.
