Original German Pre-WWII .5L 1929 Bavarian 19th Infantry Regiment Christmas Beer Stein "19. Bayr. Infanterie-Regt. II. Batl. 6. Komp." (Damaged)
Offered here is a attractive original German pre-WWII Reichswehr Christmas commemorative beer stein dated 1929, associated with the 6th Company of the 19th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, stationed in Bamberg, Germany.
The front features a colorful design with the inscription "19. BAYR. INFANTERIE-REGT. II. BATL. 6. KOMP.", identifying the 19th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 6th Company.
The lower inscription reads "WEIHNACHTEN 1929," translating to "Christmas 1929." These commemorative steins were commonly produced as Christmas gifts or keepsakes for soldiers serving in German military units.
The stein is constructed of glazed ceramic with a traditional pewter lid. The thumb lift and hinge assembly remain intact. The ceramic body has an embossed old style metric capacity marking "10/20" near the handle. This indicates the stein is a .5 liter size. Portions of the exterior retain an attractive original appearance, with the military artwork and inscriptions remaining bright and defined. Unfortunately along with typical hairline cracks there are several deep cracks that extend completely from the exterior to the interior.
Condition overall is fair to good. Refer to photos for more details and actual condition. Sold as is.
