A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.

This were awarded were awarded to party members and sympathizers who supported the party through financial contributions or special services. The word “Opfer” (sacrifice) in the name was meant to symbolize self-sacrifice and personal commitment to the National Socialist cause. These badges served not only as decorations but also as visible signs of belonging to the movement at a time when the NSDAP had not yet achieved absolute power.

The original pinback is intact and it's nicely marked. Overall in very good condition.
