Original German WWII Refurbished M42 Single Decal Luftwaffe Two Tone Camouflaged Helmet ckl 64
Original German WWII M42 steel helmet shell, marked “ckl 64,” refurbished after the war to represent a two-tone camouflaged Luftwaffe helmet.
EXTERIOR: The shell features a postwar applied camouflage finish in mustard and brick brown, nicely aged to give it a worn appearance. A reproduction 2nd model Luftwaffe eagle decal is applied to the left side. Both the camouflage paint and eagle decal are postwar additions.
INTERIOR: The inside of the shell retains some of its original factory Luftwaffe blue/gray paint. The helmet is fitted with a reproduction leather liner and reproduction chinstrap.
CONDITION: An attractive refurbished example built around an original wartime M42 helmet shell. Suitable for display or reenactment, with aged camouflage and reproduction fittings. Offered as a refurbished helmet, with no claim that the camouflage, decal, liner, or chinstrap are wartime original.
