Original German WWII M40 Luftwaffe Single Decal Helmet ET66
This is an original German WWII M40 Luftwaffe Single Decal Helmet, manufactured by Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale (ET) in size 66. It retains the majority of its factory-applied Luftwaffe blue textured paint, with only minor surface scratches throughout. The split pins still hold a good amount of factory paint, though some chipping is present.
The 2nd Model Luftwaffe decal remains approximately 75% intact, with wear visible on the eagle’s body, claws, and part of the swastika. Internally, the helmet retains much of its original Luftwaffe gray-blue paint. The leather liner, though unmarked, is size 58, supple, and in very good to excellent condition, showing only minor wear. The original drawstring is still present, but the helmet does not include a chinstrap.
Overall, this combat-worn M40 Luftwaffe helmet remains in very good to excellent condition, making it a desirable piece for collectors.
