These are original German WWII Dienstglas 10x50 binoculars manufactured by Carl Zeiss Jena, maker code "blc," complete with their original leather carrying case.
The binoculars are in excellent condition and retain the vast majority of their original factory finish, exhibiting only minimal signs of age and handling. The optics are exceptionally clear, providing a bright, sharp image. This model does not feature a rangefinder. The binoculars are marked with serial number 44561 and the "+" symbol, indicating they were assembled using a special low-temperature lubricant for cold weather service. The neck strap is missing.
The original leather carrying case is in very good condition overall, displaying normal scuffs, scratches, and service wear consistent with age. The closure hardware remains in good working order, although the front closure stud appears to have been replaced at some point during its service life. The original leather pull tab is intact. The shoulder strap is no longer present, and the rear belt loop has become dry with age and should be handled carefully to avoid damage. The interior of the case is clean and well preserved. The case is marked "1942" and next to it is a Waffenamt stamp (see Photo 9). The carry strap is missing.
Condition overall is very good.
