Original German WWII Tan 6x30 Dienstglas Binoculars “ddx” By Voigtländer u. Sohn AG
A very nice original late-war German 6x30 Dienstglas binocular set, manufactured by Voigtländer u. Sohn AG, Braunschweig (maker code “ddx”).
These binoculars retain the majority of their original factory-applied ordnance tan finish, typical of late-war production. The body is clearly marked “Dienstglas 6x30” along with serial number and maker code. Also present is the triangle marking, indicating cold-weather lubricant, suitable for use in extreme temperatures (-40°C to +50°C), commonly seen on 1943–1945 production, most often 1944.
The optics are in good usable condition, though slightly hazy with some small specks noted in the right optic. The right ocular retains the original rangefinding reticle. Focus adjustments operate as they should.
The brown Bakelite eyecups are in excellent condition with no cracks or damage. Overall, the binoculars show light to moderate honest field wear with strong remaining finish.
Condition:
Excellent overall with strong original paint. Optics slightly hazy but functional. A very attractive late-war example.
