These are original German WWII Dienstglas 6x30 binoculars manufactured by Swarovski, maker code "cag." The binoculars are complete with their original black Bakelite carrying case.
The binoculars retain a tan finish and appear to have been repainted tan at some point. The optics are fairly clear, and both eyepiece focus adjustments function properly. This example is the standard 6x30 model does feature a range finder. The original Dienstglas markings and specifications on the top of the right prism housing appear to have been intentionally removed or scratched off (see Photo 6).
The original black Bakelite carrying case remains solid and serviceable, showing expected age-related wear. The closure hardware functions properly; however, the leather pull tab is a replacement and is now broken (see Photo 10). The rear Preßstoff belt loops are also broken (see Photo 8). The interior of the case is clean and remains in very good condition.
Overall condition is good and solid with just a few flaws.
