Unissued Original German WWII HJ Steel Belt Buckle RZM 17 By Assmann With Crank CatchThis is an unissued original German WWII H-Youth (HJ) steel belt buckle manufactured by the well known firm of F.W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid. The front displays the traditional HJ eagle and diamond emblem surrounded by the motto “Blut und Ehre” (“Blood and Honor”).
The reverse retains its original belt prongs and the desirable early-style crank catch. Underneath the belt prongs, the buckle is marked with the Assmann company logo, “Ges. Gesch.” (legally protected design), and the RZM manufacturer code 17.
The buckle retains nearly all of its original silver-colored finish and remains in excellent, apparently unissued condition. It displays only minor storage wear, light surface marks, and a few small areas of oxidation from age. A very attractive and well-marked example by a respected German manufacturer.
