Original German WWII M35 Heer Single Decal Helmet SE64
Original German WWII M35 Heer (Army) single decal combat helmet manufactured by Sächsische Emaillierwerke (SE), marked SE66 for a size 66 shell. This example appears to have been issued around 1940 in its single decal configuration, rather than being an earlier M35 subsequently reissued.
EXTERIOR The exterior retains approximately 75% of its dark fieldgray factory paint, with extensive scratches, scrapes, and areas of paint loss consistent with heavy service use. The Heer eagle decal shows pronounced age toning, with scrapes, chips, and loss of detail consistent with heavy service use.
INTERIOR The interior retains the majority of its dark fieldgray factory paint. The rear skirt bears what appears to be lot number 20772.
The pigskin leather liner is completely intact, showing age and wear, and retains its original drawstring. The leather is size stamped 56, and the zinc liner band is dated 1942. The liner was most likely fitted as a wartime replacement. The chinstrap is missing.
CONDITION A well-worn M35 Heer helmet retaining substantial factory paint and a complete pigskin liner with drawstring. The extensive exterior wear gives this example a pronounced combat worn appearance.
