Original U.S. WWII M1 Front Seam Swivel Bale Helmet With Firestone Liner
This is an original U.S. M1 combat helmet consisting of a rear-seam, swivel-bale steel shell paired with a WWII Firestone liner. The combination reflects a classic late WWII production helmet that continued in service through the Korean War era, as was extremely common with American combat gear.
The shell is a correct front seam with swivel bales, finished in its original corked olive drab paint. The exterior retains a strong textured surface with areas of honest service wear, scrapes, and some rust staining consistent with long-term field use.
Inside the helmet, the heat lot stamp appears to read "835A".
The khaki chinstrap is the correct web strap with a cast buckle. Strap shows typical age, very minor wear but remains intact and functional.
The liner is an original Firestone (F) production, identified by the crisp “F” inside shield logo and the 40 mold marking.

- Original WWII leather chinstrap is missing
- Original Leather sweatband is missing
- Original Non-adjustable Neck Strap present with manufacturer ink stamp
- Original Web suspension still complete though showing some minor fraying and use
- Original paint on the outside
Both helmet and liner remain in solid condition. The shell shows minor field wear, oxidation, and a few scrapes most likely from long term storage. The liner exhibits age wear to the leather components and webbing but is complete and in very good condition.
