Offered here is an original pre-WWII HJ armband featuring desirable four-piece construction. The white horizontal band is separately applied and sewn onto the red cotton body. The black swastika is separately applied to the white diamond, which in turn is sewn onto the red and white body of the armband. An original RZM tag is present on the interior.
The armband appears to have been period resized or modified and was later removed from a uniform. The safety pin visible in the photographs was already attached when we acquired the armband. Please refer closely to the photos for details of the modification and construction.
The armband shows expected signs of age and use, including scattered staining and slight discoloration. Despite this, the colors remain vibrant and the piece remains in good condition.
This armband is a U.S. Veteran Bringback and was acquired directly from the Veteran's family. Unfortunately, no additional information regarding the Veteran or the circumstances under which the armband was brought home was provided.
