Original German Pre-WWII 1939 & 1942 Event/Tinnie Badges (2 pieces)

A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.

The first badge features a large stylized eagle with “NSKOV”. The outer border is inscribed “REICHSARBEITSTAGUNG – NORTHEIM 1939.” The reverse retains its original vertical pin and catch assembly along with visible RZM/manufacturer markings. The tinnie exhibits an attractive, naturally aged finish with expected surface wear.

The second badge dates to 1942 and features a stylized eagle above a wreath surrounding a swas. The lower portion is marked “1942 ECHTERNACH KREISTAG.” Unfortunately, the pinback has been removed and a mounting post/nut has been put in place. This modification does not allow us to see the maker marking.

Both exhibit age related wear and darkened features and are in good condition.
