Original German Pre-WWII RLB "Luftschutz tut Not" (Air Rad Protection) Tinnie Badge
A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.
This is an original RLB (Reichsluftschutzbund) Air Raid Protection tinnie featuring a aircraft flying over a house displaying the Luftschutz emblem.
The silvered metal retains much of its original finish with light wear. The pinback is intact. Overall in very good condition.
