Original German Pre-WWII Winterhilfswerk (WHW) Military Branch Flag Badge Group (6 Pieces)
A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.
Included in this lot are the following:
1. Yellow plastic flag - Kavallerie (Cavalry). Marked on the reverse. Pin is broken.
2. Red painted wooden flag - Artillerie (Artillery). Marked on the reverse. No pin at all.
3. Brown plastic flag - Luftwaffe Signals. Marked on reverse. Pin broken.
4. Green plastic flag - Jäger (Light Infantry). Pin intact.
5. White cloth flag pin - Imperial War flag
Aside from a missing pin on #1, all are in fairly good condition. Sold as a set.
