Original German WWII M35 Heer Double Decal Helmet Q64- This Heer double decal M35 helmet, produced by Quist, bears marks of its wartime service and subsequent reissue. Originally adorned with vibrant Tri-Color decals and a National Heer Eagle, it underwent a reissue process where the Tri-Color decal was obscured by a dark field gray paint. Over time, much of this paint has worn away, revealing remnants of the factory-applied apple green paint underneath, lending a captivating historical patina to the helmet.

Despite the passage of time and the rigors of combat, approximately 75% of the Quist National Heer Decal and 85% of the Tri-Color decal remain visible, bearing witness to its wartime journey. The aluminum reinforced liner band, dated 1938, exhibits signs of heavy use yet remarkably retains its structural integrity, while the size 56 liner, now a deep chocolate brown hue, still provides a snug fit.
This helmet also features original elements such as the drawstring, which we added to the helmet and a chinstrap, albeit with very faded markings, attesting to its authenticity. Overall, this artifact presents a compelling testament to its combat heritage, showcasing wear indicative of its service while maintaining a remarkable level of preservation, making it an outstanding addition to any collection.
