Original Imperial Japanese WWII Type 90 Combat Helmet With Liner & Web Chinstrap- This Original Imperial Japanese WWII Type 90 Combat Helmet, an emblem of the era's military history, bears the marks of its service with distinction. Retaining approximately 75% to 80% of its original factory paint, it proudly displays scratches and scrapes, revealing hints of red primer and minor surface rust, testament to its wartime use.
The iconic Imperial Japanese Star adorns the front, while a small dent beneath suggests a potential encounter with a small-caliber bullet. This battle scar adds to the helmet's authenticity and narrative.
Complete with its original leather liner and web chinstrap, the helmet embodies the wear and tear of combat, with the dark brown hue of the leather liner speaking volumes of its years of service. Notably, a single pad of the liner is adorned with yellow paint, likely inscribed with the Japanese soldier's name, adding a personal touch to its history. Although the padding inside the liner pockets are missing, the helmet remains functional and evocative of its era.
The O-Rings securing the web chinstrap include one original to the helmet and two post-war replacements, a testament to its continued use beyond the war.
Internally, the helmet retains the majority of its factory paint, with manufacturer markings visible at the rear rim, enhancing its authenticity.
