Original German Pre-WWII "1933 NSDAP Reichsparteitag Nürnberg" Tinnie Badge
A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.
This is an original German
1933 NSDAP Reichsparteitag (Party Rally) tinnie commemorating the historic Party Rally held in Nürnberg following Hitler's appointment as Chancellor. The 1933 rally, commonly referred to as the
"Reichsparteitag des Sieges" (Rally of Victory), marked the beginning of the annual Nürnberg rallies that became one of the regime's most recognizable propaganda events. The 1933 badge is larger than earlier Party Rally badges and was produced in substantial numbers for attendees and supporters.
This bronze finished cast iron badge is in very good condition. The pinback is intact. It has a nice patina and shows typical age-wear and finish loss. Unmarked.
