Original German Pre-WWII "Gauparteitag 1934 Köln-Aachen" Tinnie Badge by Tweer & Turck
A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.
This badge commemorates the 1934 Gau Party Day held within Gau Köln-Aachen.
This heavy metal or iron tinnie is in good condition. The pinback is missing. It has a nice patina and shows typical age-wear and minor finish loss. It is maker marked on reverse. This is a heavy, larger size tinnie measuring around 45 x 45 mm (1.772" across).
