Original German Pre-WWII 1934 "Deutsch ist die Saar" (The Saar is German) Tinnie Badge
A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.
This steel, bronzed wash badge is in good condition. The pinback is intact. Shows typical age-wear and some very minor finish loss. Unmarked.
