This is an original German WWII Heer (Army) NCO troddel/portepee for Armored Reconnaissance troops, featuring the distinctive green branch color.
The portepee features a silver-gray woven acorn with a green upper section and matching green center at the bottom. The weave remains in very good condition, retaining strong color with only minor age and storage wear.
The original black leather strap remains complete and attached. The leather displays expected age and use, including surface wear, dryness, and some waviness along the edges, but remains intact. The leather knot above the acorn is also present and securely tied.
This would be best for a bayonet that is display only. Considering the age of the leather we recommend handling with care.
