Original German Pre-WWII .5L Commemorative Replacement Signals Company 7 Beer Stein "Ergänzungs-Nachrichten-Kompanie 7 München"
Offered here is a attractive original German pre-WWII Signals commemorative beer stein.
The front features a colorful military scene depicting three German soldiers operating field communications equipment. A mounted soldier wearing a German steel helmet is shown receiving a message from a standing soldier, while another soldier wearing headphones operates a field radio set. In the background is a large German military flag featuring a swastika within a white circular field.
The lower portion of the illustration is inscribed "Erg. Nachr. Komp. 7 München", identifying the military unit and its location. One side bears the inscription "Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit", translating to "In Memory of My Service Time," a traditional inscription found on German military commemorative steins.
The opposite side features the decorative name "Franz Grimm", presumably identifying the soldier for whom the stein was originally made.
The stein is manufactured from glazed stoneware with an off-white finish and decorative red bands around the upper rim and lower base. The colorful central illustration remains well-defined, displaying attractive period military imagery. The side is marked "0.5L", indicating its half liter capacity. There is some noticeable wear to the lower portion of the beer stain.
Condition overall is very good.
