Original German Pre-WWII Early SA / HJ Brass Belt Buckle
Original German early SA (Sturmabteilung) / HJ (H- Youth) brass belt buckle, dating to the early 1930s. This example is manufactured from brass, an early material used prior to the later aluminum and steel wartime buckles. The obverse features the early pattern eagle within an oak-leaf wreath, retaining visible detail despite honest age wear.
The reverse shows early construction characteristics, including a riveted catch and roller bar assembly. The buckle exhibits heavy, honest age wear, oxidation, and patina, consistent with prolonged use and age.
An untouched example of an early SA / HJ transitional brass buckle, representing the formative years of German political youth and paramilitary organizations.
