Original German WWII 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger By WKC
This is an original German WWII 2nd Model Luftwaffe Officer’s dagger, complete with its original scabbard. The blade is marked WKC, with the visible manufacturer’s trademark of a knights helmet.
Hilt:
The aluminum pommel features a swastika on each side surrounded by oakleaf decoration. The aluminum crossguard depicts the Luftwaffe eagle with outstretched wings clutching a swastika. The pommel, steel ferrule, and crossguard retain strong decorative detail, with darkened age patina, scattered finish wear, and light handling marks.
Grip:
The grip has an attractive creamy yellow appearance and is wrapped with twisted silver-colored spring wire. It remains in excellent condition, with no apparent cracks or chips and only minor surface wear. The wire wrap is complete and securely seated within the spiral grooves.
Blade:
The blade is marked “WKC Solingen” alongside the manufacturer’s knight’s helmet trademark. It remains full and bright, with scattered light gray spotting and minor surface marks. The tip is intact, and the blade remains in very good overall condition.
Scabbard:
The original steel scabbard retains its finely pebbled panels, both decorative suspension bands, carrying rings, and oakleaf decorated lower section. The surface displays a darkened age patina with scattered discoloration and normal handling wear. A localized patch of rust and finish loss is present on the reverse. The scabbard remains straight and free of major damage.
