Original German WWII Pre/Early War 6x30 Dienstglas Binoculars By Hensoldt With Bakelite CaseThis is an original set of German WWII 6x30 “Dienstglas” binoculars, manufactured by Hensoldt & Söhne, Wetzlar, one of the top optical firms supplying precision instruments to the Wehrmacht.
The binoculars are well-marked on the right plate “Dienstglas 6x30” with serial number 303068 and bearing the Hensoldt “diamond” logo on the left plate. The “H/6400” reticle marking indicates there is a range finder. The body retains much of its original black wartime finish with textured leather textured grips showing normal service wear. Optics remain very clear with a slight fog. The textured grip on one side does have some slight damage from use. Two waffenamts are on the front part of the binoculars.
Included is the original wartime black Bakelite case, complete with its domed lid, metal clasp, and side D-rings for the carrying strap. The case shows typical surface wear and light patina from use but remains solid with no cracks. There is a buffer missing from the inside left of the case. Leather or presstoff belt loops have been removed.
Please note that both the binoculars and case are missing the leather carry strap. Sold as is.
