Unissued Original German WWII Heer (Army) Wartime Officer’s Breast Eagle U.S. Veteran Bringback
This is an original German WWII Heer officer’s breast eagle intended for wear on the service tunic.
This high-quality BeVo woven example features bright silver flatwire woven into a dark green field. The eagle displays outstretched wings above a wreath and swastika, with excellent definition throughout the feathers, body, and wreath. The silver flatwire remains bright and contrasts beautifully against the dark green background.
The insignia remains unissued and is still attached to its full-length factory backing, never having been cut or applied to a uniform. The reverse clearly exhibits the expected BeVo woven construction. Minor age-related wear and light fraying are present along the unfinished outer edges, but the eagle itself remains exceptionally well preserved.
A desirable pre-war officer-quality insignia in excellent unissued condition. This piece was brought home following WWII as a souvenir by a U.S. serviceman.
