This is an authentic German Army (Heer) steel belt buckle from WWII, manufactured by GB (Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen). The obverse features the iconic Wehrmacht eagle with swastika, encircled by an oak leaf wreath and the motto “Gott Mit Uns” (“God With Us”).
The reverse retains its full two-prong attachment system, with the maker’s initials and date 40 (1940) clearly stamped beneath the prongs. The buckle shows its original field-gray paint, now combat-worn with areas of rusting and patina, which adds to its authenticity and character.
A solid, battle-worn example of a Gustav Brehmer produced Heer buckle, highly collectible and in very good condition.
