Original German WWII Black Wound Badge (Unmarked)
An original German WWII Black Wound Badge, constructed of stamped steel with a period blackened finish. The obverse features a well-defined M35-style steel helmet bearing a mobile swastika, superimposed over crossed swords, all set against a finely pebbled background and enclosed by a detailed oak leaf wreath tied at the base.
The badge exhibits honest age and very slight wear throughout. The black finish shows normal wear and thinning. The overall design remains sharp and well-struck, retaining strong definition.
The reverse shows typical period hardware, with the pin intact. There is small bit of oxidation present consistent with age and storage.
The badge is unmarked, as commonly encountered with wartime-produced examples. Overall, a solid, untouched example displaying authentic wear and patina, indicative of period use and age.
