Original German WWII Cotton Gas Cape Bag (Gasplane Tasche) Marked, With Name Tag
This authentic Gas Cape Bag was designed to carry a "Gas Cape" (Gasplane)—a protective fabric used by soldiers to shield themselves from chemical gas attacks during combat.
Constructed of cotton material, the bag retains its characteristic soft feel. The exterior shows honest period wear, including surface soiling and creasing, all consistent with field use and/or long-term storage.
The flap is secured by 2 snaps, both present and firmly attached; both have a slight bit of oxidation.
There is a faint stamp on the inside flap but unsure if its a maker mark. A hand-sewn name tag reading “Rusch” is present under the closure flap.
The reverse side features 2 attached fabric loops.
Overall remains in very good condition.
