Original German WWII Cotton Gas Cape Bag (Gasplane Tasche) Marked, Repaired
This authentic Gas Cape Bag was designed to carry a "Gas Cape" (Gasplane)—a protective fabric used by soldiers to shield themselves from chemical gas attacks during combat.
Constructed of cotton material, the bag retains its characteristic soft feel. The exterior shows period wear, including surface soiling and creasing.
The flap is secured by 2 snaps, both present and firmly attached; both have a bit of oxidation. There is a very faint maker stamp on the inside flap.
The reverse side features 2 attached fabric loops. There are 2 period repairs on the bottom right corner - this does not take away from the integrity of the bag as they are both reinforced and done with zig zag stitching.
Overall remains in good condition.
