Original German WWII Cotton Gas Cape Bag (Gasplane Tasche) Marked ffo 14, Splinter A Tabs
This authentic Gas Cape Bag was designed to carry a "Gas Cape" (Gasplane)—a protective fabric used by soldiers to shield themselves from chemical gas attacks during combat.
Constructed of cotton material, the bag retains its characteristic soft feel.
The exterior shows minimal period wear, including hardly any surface soiling and some creasing throughout.
The flap is secured by 2 buttons, both present and firmly attached. There is a faint maker stamp "ffo" (unknown maker) along with "14" on the inside flap. Also on the inside are Original Splinter A material reinforcement tabs on the inside and underside of the closure flap.
The reverse side features 2 attached fabric loops.
Overall remains in very good condition.
