Original German WWII “Das Heer im Grossdeutschen Freiheitskampf” 52-Print Art Portfolio – OKH Edition
This is an original WWII-era art portfolio titled “Das Heer im Grossdeutschen Freiheitskampf” (The Army in the Greater German Struggle for Freedom), issued under the authority of the Oberkommando des Heeres (OKH) and produced by Förster & Borries, Zwickau (Sachsen).
The set was created as an educational and motivational publication for German youth, containing color art plates based on frontline photographs by official Wehrmacht war correspondents (Kriegsberichter des Heeres). Each image depicts scenes of the German Army in action—tanks, infantry, and field equipment—highlighting the idealized vision of the Heer during the war.
The outer presentation folder is damaged -- shows age wear, edge tears, and small chips along the top and bottom edges. The interior single art plates are generally well-preserved with strong color and minimal handling wear. Please note these prints are not in bound format. Although the outer cover is damaged, the prints themselves are in excellent condition. Prints measure approximately 15" x 13" (38cm x 33cm).
