Original Pre-WWII Heer Aluminum Belt Buckle With Leather Tab Offered is an excellent example of an original pre-WWII German Heer (Army) enlisted/NCO belt buckle complete with its original leather tab.
The buckle is constructed of lightweight aluminum, retaining a good amount of detail throughout, with the classic “Gott Mit Uns” (God With Us) motto encircling the Wehrmacht eagle and swas. within an oak-leaf wreath. The pebbling on the background remains mostly crisp, with only light wear and still retains hints of the original factory paint on the front and back.
The leather belt tab is nicely intact and has a nice aged patina overall. Although the tab bears a maker and date stamp, the markings have become extremely faint over time and could not be positively identified. Appears to be dated 1938, but not 100% sure.
A textbook early aluminum Heer buckle and tab combination that is nicely preserved.
