Original German WWII Heer M40 Single Decal Q64 With ET DecalOriginal German WWII M40 Heer (Army) single decal combat helmet manufactured by Quist in a size 64 shell.
EXTERIOR
The exterior retains a worn dark fieldgray finish with light texturing, showing scratches, abrasions, and paint loss consistent with service use. The helmet features a factory-applied ET style Heer eagle decal. Although substantially worn, the remaining details display characteristics of the ET pattern rather than the typical Quist decal. Quist helmets are encountered with ET style decals; the reasons for their occasional use are uncertain, although decal availability may have been a factor.
INTERIOR
The interior retains a good amount of its dark fieldgray factory paint. The leather liner is complete, showing age and darkening from use, and retains its original drawstring. The original leather chinstrap is present with faint markings.
CONDITION
A well-worn Heer M40 helmet with remaining factory paint, a complete leather liner and drawstring, and an original chinstrap. The ET style eagle decal makes this an interesting Quist example with a combat worn appearance.
