Rare Original German WWII Heer Splinter A Camouflaged Helmet Cover-
This is an authentic German WWII Heer (Army) Splinter A camouflage helmet cover, featuring the classic Splittertarnmuster A pattern printed on one side and a reversible white side for winter use.
The cover is made from a lightweight loose-weave cotton material, typical of wartime production. It retains all seven foliage loops, each constructed from the same Splinter A fabric and securely attached by machine stitching on the camouflage side only. The drawstring is made from doubled-over white cotton tape, machine sewn and showing light wear and age toning.
The white reverse side displays mild discoloration from age and service use. Faintly visible in black ink on the rear center panel is the manufacturer’s code “SS 03208”, a known wartime maker marking associated with Waffen SS contract textile production.
This helmet cover was photographed fitted on a size 64 helmet shell (helmet not included) and remains in excellent condition overall, showing only minor wear and strong color retention, a very fine example of an original wartime Splinter A camouflage cover.
